In April 2009 we canceled our service with Clearwire because of a failure for them to fulfill their contract. We were told when we signed up that we would receive a $150 Visa gift card. We never received the card and were told by customer service that it was Best Buy who sold us the service that were to give us the card. Later we checked our contract and it stated Clearwire would send the gift card. We contacted customer service and the supervisor apologized for their error, told us she canceled our service, and removed all my Debit card information so we would no longer be charged. Four months later, we are still being charged. We were never sent any sort of information for returning our equipment and after several (30) phone calls, we were never able to reach anybody that could provide us with the necessary information. They only told us that they had sent the form and would not send it again, because we didn't call in the 48 hours after not receiving it. Clearwire only believes that it is up to the customer to provide their own service, they do not believe in customer service and will not help you. Any small technical problem takes at least 45 minutes of being on hold only for them to tell you that you are not using your equipment properly and it is nothing to do with their system. Terrible, terrible customer service and actual internet service, truly a waste of money and time!!
